Lurssen Shipyard designs and constructs luxury superyachts, naval vessels and special vessels. Lurssen Yachts is one of the main leaders in designing and building custom luxury superyachts. Located in Bremen, Germany, the shipyard was established in 1875. In 2013 Lurssen delivered Azzam , the longest yacht in the world. This 180 meters yacht was built within a record breaking time, in less than 3 years. In 2016, world’s biggest yacht in terms of gross tonnage, 156 meters long Dilbar was delivered. In Lurssen there are no external investors, all the shareholders of the company are family members. The shipyard also acquired shipbuilding company Blohm + Voss in a long term partnership.
